Kamisado is an inspiring game of tactics and strategy for two players. The challenge is to reach your opponent’s ‘Home Row’ with just one icon tile. It seems easy at first, but you will soon discover that Kamisado has an unexpected tactical depth The rules are extremely simple : move an icon tile forwards (or diagonally forwards) as far as you like in a straight line. But the colour on which your tile finishes determines which tile your opponent must move on the following turn! The four different levels of play will provide a challenge for any player. Who will be the Grand Master of the icon tiles?
This version was created as a collaboration between Burley Games and Monday to Sunday Games in South Korea. The creation of the icons that are used on the tiles was a joint effort by the two companies. Each icon represents something which is very important in Korean culture and history. A description of each icon is provided at the end of each rulebook.
The Korean name for the game, which is displayed on the box and other components using Korean Caligraphy means “Strategy under Moonlight”, which mirrors the means underlying the original Kamisado name, meaning “Night Attack”.
